Willow and the Motorway Horses

Now in paperback and with a new chapter for 2024

“Mr O’Leary no longer wants horses, he wants to replace us with cows,” Roger the donkey tells his friends, pointing out that the outcome involving the local vet is not good. The horses feel their fate is sealed until Willow the sand-coloured pony comes up with a plan to save them.

“We could disguise ourselves,” Willow says, making cow suits for her friends. In their costumes the horse-cows fool the humans until one day they hear that alpacas will replace them. Once again Willow toils at the sewing machine making outfits for her friends but this time things don’t go as planned.

The horses in the field beside the motorway face many challenges throughout the year and learn to adapt to each one to protect themselves from an uncertain future. Willow and the Motorway Horses is a crazy tale of determined horses, stupid humans and dressing up. Featuring a unique catchphrase, the story takes readers on a bizarre journey while highlighting the importance of friendship.

Although this humorous book is written in the style of a children's adventure story, it is aimed solely at adults and takes the reader on a comedic journey filled with happiness, sadness, catchphrases and some sweary language.
